Aurela’s Ethos and My Journey

Hi, I’m Victoria, a fully qualified doctor, GP trainee, aesthetic doctor and Founder of Aurela, based in Chichester.
My journey into aesthetics didn’t begin in a clinic, it began through people I care about.

Over the years, friends and family confided that they were unhappy with certain features: thin lips, fine lines, or a tired appearance. Many simply wanted to look like a fresher version of themselves. But when they sought treatment, they were often given no real explanation of their facial anatomy or how different areas work together.

Some were worried about being left with oversized lips, expressionless foreheads, or asymmetry that wouldn’t reflect who they were. None of them wanted to look “done”, they wanted to age gracefully and feel confident but instead they were disappointed and unsure where to turn.

Seeing a Wider Problem

As I listened to more people, both personally and professionally, a pattern became clear. Most patients aren’t chasing transformation, they just want guidance they can trust. They want someone who understands anatomy, proportion, and the medical science behind facial movement, and who can explain what will and won’t help them achieve the natural results they’re hoping for.
I think we have all seen examples on social media of an ‘over-worked’ face which has resulted in looking more aged than before the treatment. From these, we know what we don’t want, but don't know who to turn to to achieve the results we do want and not an outcome we will regret.

That was the moment I realised this was an area where my medical background could genuinely make a difference. I wanted to help people make safe decisions, guide them, dissuade them from certain procedures that may harm how they look, and help them in other ways. I fully understand how psychology can impact our decisions and ideas of how we look. I am careful to look at the whole picture; the medical, psychological and social background of each person.

Founding Aurela

I founded Aurela Aesthetics to bring a safer, more transparent approach to my patients, rooted in medical ethics, education, and honesty.
My aim is not just to offer treatments, but to help people understand why their face looks and functions the way it does, and what options, if any, would truly enhance balance and confidence.

Sometimes that means recommending a very subtle tweak; other times, it means saying a treatment isn’t needed. Either way, my patients should always leave feeling heard, informed, and respected.

Why “Aurela”

The name Aurela comes from aureus, Latin for “golden.”
To me, it represents the “Golden Way”; a standard of practice that is safe, balanced, and honest.
Gold doesn’t shout. It shines quietly and reliably, much like the subtle results I want my patients to experience.

Aurela stands for:

  • Safety: Evidence-based treatments using traceable medical products.

  • Transparency: Clear explanations, realistic expectations, and informed consent.

  • Respect: Understanding each patient’s individuality and natural beauty.

Training and Ongoing Education

Because safety and transparency are central to my ethos, I’m currently completing the Harley Academy Level 7 Diploma in Injectables, an Ofqual-regulated postgraduate qualification designed for registered doctors, dentists and nurses.
This training has given me in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy, complication management, and the chance to train directly under leading clinicians in Harley Academy. This is on top of my medical training, ongoing GP training and Continual Professional Development.

(Patients can verify accredited courses of practitioners via the Ofqual Register of Regulated Qualifications or check practitioner standards on the JCCP Register.)

I want to bring that level of clinical understanding and accountability into every consultation, ensuring that my patients in Chichester and surrounding areas can access the same standard of regulated care I’d expect for myself or my family.

A New Standard for Aesthetic Care in Chichester

My vision for Aurela is simple: to provide doctor-led aesthetics that combine medical integrity with genuine empathy.
In an industry filled with noise, misinformation, and misleading qualifications, I want Aurela to be a place people can trust, where they’re guided, not sold to, and where safety always comes first.

I want my patients to know they can ask questions, take time, and expect complete honesty. That’s the golden way; safe, regulated, and sincere. I will always do the best I can for you and give honest feedback about what I can and can not do for you.

If you share these values and would like to discuss your options in a doctor-led environment, I’d be honoured to see you at Aurela Aesthetics, click here to book a consultation now.
